Awaken in the Wild
Yin Yoga & Hiking Retreat

October 29th - November 3rd 2026

Experience the beauty of the Pacific NorthWest

Set just a short distance from USA's most breathtaking national parks, national forests and national monuments! This retreat is designed to blend mindful Yin Yoga practice, nature, rest, and adventure to give you a whole hearted feeling for the PNW!

For six days together, we’ll move through grounding yin yoga and breath work, moments of stillness, moderate to intermediate hikes, ample time in nature, and shared experiences that cultivate connection — both within ourselves and with the surrounding landscape.

Late October/Early November the Pacific Northwest is a magical time of year. Mist drifts through ancient forests, autumn colors deepen, and the pace of the season gently encourages us to turn inward. It’s the perfect setting to unplug, restore your energy, and immerse yourself in the quiet rhythm of nature.

Retreat members must plan to fly into Portland International Airport on the 29th landing and being ready no later than 1pm. Airport pick up is at 1:15pm. Once your flight is booked you must send all flight details to the retreat host.

Awaken in the Wild Retreat is located within Gifford Pinchot National Forest!
October 29th - November 3rd

Accommodations at Cispus Center

Our retreat home is nestled deep within the peaceful wilderness of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest at the welcoming and rustic Cispus Learning Center.

Surrounded by towering evergreens, mountain air, and the gentle sounds of the forest, this retreat space offers a simple and grounding environment that allows you to unplug and reconnect with nature. The property sits in the heart of the forest, with miles of trails, rivers, and wild landscapes just steps from your door.

Accommodations are comfortable and lodge-style, designed to foster both rest and community. All retreat members will have their own private room in cozy shared cabins with shared bathroom(s). The cabins are also equipped with a full kitchen, living room and laundry!

The Cispus Center offers expansive grounds for yoga practice, quiet forest walks, and gathering in community. With the vast wilderness of the Pacific Northwest surrounding us, each day invites exploration, reflection, and the simple joy of being immersed in nature.

This retreat is an opportunity to experience the Pacific Northwest in its most authentic form — grounded, wild, and deeply restorative.

Unplugging in the Forest

In the spirit of connecting more deeply with the outdoors, our retreat location in the heart of the forest offers a natural opportunity to gently unplug from your device.

Once we enter the national forest and arrive at the Cispus Center, there is no network/cell phone service. However, each cabin is equipped with Wi-Fi, allowing you to send messages and make calls when you are inside your cabin or near Wi-Fi router.

For the Awaken in the Wild: Yin Yoga & Hiking Retreat, it is encouraged that our yoga classes and workshops be phone-free spaces. This helps create a calm and present environment where everyone can fully enjoy the experience of movement, stillness, and the beauty of the surrounding forest.

Outside of classes and group gatherings, you are absolutely welcome to use your phone during our hikes and adventures. In fact, you will likely want it nearby to capture some of the incredible mountains, towering trees, and quiet forest moments you’ll encounter during the retreat.

Think of it less as being disconnected and more as a chance to reconnect — with nature, with community, and with yourself.

ACCOMIDATIONS

All cabins are thoughtfully equipped with a full kitchen, cozy living room, WiFi access, and in-cabin laundry for your comfort throughout the retreat.

Master bedrooms with private en-suite bathrooms are the only room option available for shared occupancy. All other accommodations are reserved for single occupancy bookings.

If reserving a shared room, both guests must complete their registrations within 24 hours of one another in order to secure the shared booking.

Please Note: Each cabin is equipped with its own hot water tank and provides ample hot water access. To ensure a comfortable experience for all retreat guests, we kindly ask that showers remain mindful in length and that approximately 45 minutes is allowed for water reheating between extended uses.

Your Retreat Host

Amelia (she/hers) is a yoga instructor, retreat host, and the founder of Inner Prana Yoga — a heart-led platform rooted in presence, breath, and inner connection. She received her 200-hour training at the Siddhant School of Yoga in Rishikesh, India, the foothills of the Himalayas. She studied Praṇayama, Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga, yogic philosophy, Ayurvedic wisdom, and traditional meditation practices.

Her work is guided by the belief that yoga is a continuous return — to breath, to awareness, and to the wisdom already residing within you. Through mindful movement, asana, pranayama, and stillness, her offerings invite students to slow down, reconnect with their prāṇa (life force), in a way that feels natural and accessible.

Amelia currently hosts mindful and revitalizing yoga retreats around the world, alongside online classes. Her retreats are created with care and intention, blending meaningful practice, cultural connection, and spacious rest — where true luxury is felt through presence, simplicity, and being deeply supported in body and spirit.
