"The mind is like the wind and the body like the sand: if you want to know how the wind is blowing, you can look at the sand."
— Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen
Step into adventure, connection, and self-discovery amidst the breathtaking Austrian Alps.
Nestled in the mountain village of Wildschönau and hosted at Aparthotel Iris, the Align Body and Mind Retreat invites you to slow down and experience life from a different perspective. Surrounded by beautiful green rolling peaks, alpine meadows, and centuries of Austrian tradition, this retreat offers an opportunity to step away from familiar routines and reconnect with yourself through mindful somatic bodily movements, nature, and meaningful experiences.
Our bodies often reveal what the mind has yet to acknowledge. Through yoga, meditation, guided nature hikes, massage therapy and time to allow the mind to relax and release, we begin to become more attuned to the messages we carry within us. We learn to notice where we are holding tension, where we are resisting change, and where we may be longing for something more.
This retreat has the highest intention to keep you in the present moment, self reflect, and immerse yourself in some of Austria's most beautiful mountain landscapes. As we walk together through forests, alpine pastures, and mountain trails, we will practice mindful awareness, allowing nature to become both our classroom and our guide.

Align Body and Mind Retreat Offerings
Hatha Yoga | Soma Yoga | Yomassage |
Yoga Nidra | Guided Meditation | Thai Nuad Massage | Guided Mindful Hikes Paired with Nature Bathing & Forest Grounding

Thai Nuad Massage
Unlike a traditional table massage where you lie still while the therapist works on your muscles, Thai Nuad Massage is an interactive experience often described as "assisted yoga." Performed fully clothed on a comfortable mat, Andrea uses gentle stretching, rhythmic compression, and mindful movement to help release tension and improve mobility throughout the body.
Benefits include increased flexibility, relief from muscular tightness, improved circulation, reduced stress, open energetic pathways and a greater sense of ease and balance.
Many people leave feeling both deeply relaxed and refreshed, with a renewed connection between body and mind.

Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient healing practice that combines assisted stretching, acupressure, and mindful movement to encourage balance and the free flow of energy throughout the body.

Booking your retreat includes a 90min Thai Nuad Massage!
How is Thai Nuad Massage different from a table massage?

Through periods of silent walking, guided sensory awareness, mindful breathing, and moments of quiet reflection, participants are invited to slow down and immerse themselves in the natural world.

The walks are suitable for anyone with a moderate level of fitness and requires no previous experience with meditation. Retreat Guides & Teachers

Retreat Yoga Instructor & Thai Nuad Massage Therapist: I'm Andrea, a passionate yoga teacher, holistic yoga bodywork practitioner, and Ayurveda practitioner. I'm a mother and live with my family in Wildschönau, Tyrol.
Even as a child, I had a great urge to move. My father says that he usually saw my feet when he looked out the window, while I did cartwheels or walked around on my hands. At 20, I had a motorcycle accident in India. The subsequent therapy there was a revelation for me. The holistic Far Eastern method proved extremely effective and deeply inspired me. I was fascinated by the way body and mind were brought into harmony. I felt a deep desire to understand this healing art and share it with others. I embarked on the path of yoga, yogic bodywork, and Ayurveda. This journey became my calling and my way of life.
I am convinced that the principles of yoga and Ayurveda have transformative powers and can positively change our lives.
India is a great inspiration to me. The depth of its spiritual traditions and the wisdom of its practices have significantly shaped my path.
I love creating a harmonious atmosphere and spaces where people can let go, where they can switch off their minds and let their feelings take center stage. I am grateful for all my teachers on this path and I am delighted to be able to share my passion with you.
Your Retreat Host

She received her 200-hour training at the Siddhant School of Yoga in Rishikesh, India, where she studied Prānāyāma, Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga, Yogic Philosophy, Ayurvedic wisdom, and traditional meditation practices.
Her offerings invite you to slow down, reconnect with your prāṇa (life force), and come home to yourself through mindful movement, breath, and stillness.
