"The mind is like the wind and the body like the sand: if you want to know how the wind is blowing, you can look at the sand."
— Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen
Step into adventure, connection, and self-discovery amidst the breathtaking Austrian Alps.
Nestled in the mountain village of Wildschönau and hosted at Aparthotel Iris, the Body-Mind Balance Retreat invites you to slow down and experience life from a different perspective. Surrounded by towering peaks, alpine meadows, and centuries of Austrian tradition, this retreat offers an opportunity to step away from familiar routines and reconnect with yourself through movement, nature, and meaningful experiences.
Our bodies often reveal what the mind has yet to acknowledge. Through yoga, meditation, hiking, and Thai massage therapy, we begin to listen more carefully to the messages we carry within us. We learn to notice where we are holding tension, where we are resisting change, and where we may be longing for something more.
Each day will include yoga practices designed to cultivate both strength and ease, guided meditations that encourage presence and reflection, and immersive hikes through some of Austria's most beautiful mountain landscapes. As we walk together through forests, alpine pastures, and mountain trails, we will practice mindful awareness, allowing nature to become both our classroom and our guide.

Hatha Yoga | Soma Yoga | Yomassage |
Yoga Nidra | Guided Meditation | Thai Nuat Massage | Guided Mindful Hikes Paired with Nature Bathing & Forest Grounding

Thai Nuat Massage
Unlike a traditional table massage where you lie still while the therapist works on your muscles, Thai Nuat Massage is an interactive experience often described as "assisted yoga." Performed fully clothed on a comfortable mat, Andrea uses gentle stretching, rhythmic compression, and mindful movement to help release tension and improve mobility throughout the body.
Benefits include increased flexibility, relief from muscular tightness, improved circulation, reduced stress, open energetic pathways and a greater sense of ease and balance.
Many people leave feeling both deeply relaxed and refreshed, with a renewed connection between body and mind.

Traditional Thai Massage is an ancient healing practice that combines assisted stretching, acupressure, and mindful movement to encourage balance and the free flow of energy throughout the body.

How is Thai Nuat Massage different from a table massage?
